First pic of an animated short someone is making that seems to be inspired by pixar
when ever someone says they are a gamer (most of the time) people just think you are either a 9 year old boy or a load obnoxious frat guy yelling into a microphone (at a 9 year old boy)
and I’m not even a old school gamer (the NES, Atari) I’m the generation that was brought up into the 3D world of gaming (PS1).
Im proud of it. I love my Resident Evil, Metal Gear Solid, Crash, Spyro, Silent hill, Final Fantasy. I was born into the generation that was giving birth to modern day gaming.
What happened to all my great narrative stories? Sony is keeping it alive, as far as I know for this generation (ps3, 360,wii) Sony is the only company keeping the old alive. Xbox is to young to really have an history (pff halo)
(yes halo brought Lan parties and split screen back into the lime light as did Golden eye before it)
But the Wii really hasn’t been that ground breaking for the hardcore gamers, (xbox is to young and is a Michael Bay Machine - no substance)
we could go off and talk about how dedicated servers arent a big thing this generation and how immaturity of voice chat in gaming has really taken a dive. But thats another rant
Back to the original message of my rant..
This generation hasnt really gone in the direction I wanted, Sony is doing a Ok job but Xbox is dumbing down the proud image of the title “Gamer” Also this generation is moving to fast, the PS3 has so much more power left in it and with rumors of the next gen already on the horizon it already worries me that my $400 (debatable which SKU you bought) hasnt really paid off..
I dont like what this generation has become…

Yes we can go ahead and say “You shouldnt label anyone” But i liked my label, I was proud of it…. but now im questioning it…
